About the

Steven James is a critically acclaimed author, keynote speaker, and professional storyteller with a master’s degree in storytelling. Since 1996 he has appeared more than 2000 times at events spanning the globe, presenting his stories and teaching the principles of storytelling to writers, speakers, teachers, and leaders. He has performed on the stage of the National Storytelling Festival’s prestigious Story Slam competition and leads master classes on novel writing across the country. His books have won or been shortlisted for dozens of national and international awards. When he’s not writing or speaking, he hosts the weekly podcast The Story Blender, on which he interviews some of the world’s leading writers and storytellers.

Tom Morrisey is in deep demand as one of the world’s top speechwriters and executive engagement leaders. He has spent the last two decades as a Fortune 50 speechwriter and communications consultant, working with companies such as Chrysler, Ford Motor, General Motors, and The Walt Disney Company. He is also a popular conference speaker and has taught storytelling techniques (and the science underlying them) on both sides of the Atlantic. Tom currently works in public affairs management for The Walt Disney Company, where he mentors speechwriters and storytellers on three continents. When not writing speeches, he pens thrillers and literary fiction.
